On 2nd of February 2024, the Supervisory Board of Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) appointed Dariusz Kuś as a Member of the Management Board of the Company. The new Member of the Management Board was selected from among five candidates in a qualification procedure announced on 22 January.
Dariusz Kuś was President of Wrocław Airport for the past 16 years (2007-2023). He was responsible for, among other things, the design, financing, construction and transfer of the airport's operations to a new location, and later for the execution of the investment. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Wrocław and the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. He has worked for investment houses as an investment director and served on the board of the Bank for European Cooperation. Previously, he was also director of the Corporate Banking Department at Kredyt Bank and the Treasury Department at Bank Zachodni WBK.
These are further changes to the CPK Management Board. On the 19th of January, the Supervisory Board of CPK dismissed Mikołaj Wild, President of CPK, and Radosław Kantak, Member of the Management Board for railway investments. At the same time, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Filip Czernicki, was delegated to act as President of the Management Board for a period of three months. Andrzej Alot, who is responsible for finance, remained on the Management Board of the company.
There has also been another change to the CPK Supervisory Board in recent days. On 1 February, Maciej Lasek, Government Plenipotentiary for CPK, appointed Zbigniew Szafrański as a Member of the Supervisory Board.
Zbigniew Szafranski has been professionally associated with the rail transport since 1983. He has held, among others , the positions of Member of the Management Board - Director for Strategy and Development at PKP S.A. and Member of the Management Board - Technical Director of PKP Energetyka. From 2009 to 2012, he served as the President of Polish rail infrastructure manager PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe. He represented Polish railways internationally within various organisations and associations, including as Chairman of the Railway Systems Forum of the International Union of Railways (UIC) in Paris and Chairman of the Infrastructure Group of the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER) in Brussels. He is a graduate from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Technical University of Lodz, specialising in electric traction. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology and managerial studies at the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw.
On 17th of January, the previous Supervisory Board of CPK was dismissed. The new Supervisory Board was formed by the appointment of: Filip Czernicki (Chairman, who was delegated the role of company’s CEO), Andrzej Ilków (Vice Chairman), Adam Sanocki (Secretary) and Magdalena Jaworska-Maćkowiak.
