Rohde & Schwarz awarded prestigious “Radio Replacement” project by GCAA, involving upgrade of over 200 ATC radios as an enhancement to already installed voice communications infrastructure at the Sheikh Zayed Air Navigation Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has awarded the “Radio Replacement” project to Rohde & Schwarz. This significant project aims to modernize the radio communications system at the Sheikh Zayed Air Navigation Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The “Radio Replacement” project involves the installation of over 200 new radios, including providing a significant enhancement to the already installed voice communication system (VCS). Rohde & Schwarz, with its strong in-country presence and comprehensive system capabilities, emerged as the ideal partner for this digital transformation.

The signing ceremony, held at the Dubai Airshow 2023, was witnessed by Patrick Brodda, Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz Emirates LLC, and H.E. Saif Al Suwaidi, the Director General of the GCAA.
