The Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) is pleased to welcome Carey Fagan as its incoming CEO and President. Carey recently retired from the FAA after 33 years of public service.
Rachel Jackson, Chair of the Board, said "We are so grateful that Carey is willing to join ATCA as the organization moves forward in exciting new directions. She will strengthen and build ATCA’s advocacy and policy leadership in air traffic operations, investments, and improvements. Her past international work at FAA will also be key to reinvigorating ATCA’s critical global role in air traffic management."
Carey brings a wealth of experience in the Air Traffic sector. Her over 33 years of experience in the Federal Aviation Administration in numerous roles, and concluding as the Acting Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization, will ensure ATCA continues to grow and diversify to meet the needs of ATCA’s members and the larger Air Traffic industry. She also has considerable international experience, including as head of FAA’s regional office in Asia-Pacific and running FAA’s overall international efforts. Throughout her career, she has worked effectively within FAA, and with industry stakeholders, air navigation service providers, and the Department of Defense.
Jackson also offered her "thanks to Brian Bruckbauer for his work at ATCA. During his tenure, he took on projects including efforts to strengthen relations with all airspace users, providers, and stakeholders. ATCA and its members are grateful for his work on their behalf and wish him the best as he continues his leadership in airspace integration and other matters.”
“I’m very excited for this next opportunity to work with such distinguished members of the Air Traffic industry," said Carey Fagan. "I look forward to engaging with all stakeholders as we move forward during such a pivotal time in the aviation industry.”
