Adacel Technologies Limited (Adacel or the Company) announced that it has been granted a new contract by the United States Air Force (USAF) to continue its long-standing service provision for the USAF’s Tower Simulator System (TSS) program. The contract specifies a base year period of performance and an option to extend for four additional years, prolonging Adacel’s support though to the end February 2029.
Adacel estimates the total value of the contract over its five-year duration to be USD$27 million contingent on the optional years exercised.
Adacel has been the prime contractor for the USAF TSS Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) and Training System Support Center (TSSC) contract for over 20 years since it was originally awarded in 2002, with the first system installed in October 2002 at Eglin Air Force Base.
Adacel supports TSS units across the USAF, Air Force Reserve Command, and Air National Guard at both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. The USAF TSS program scope of work for Adacel includes Program Management, TSS System Performance of minimum operational Availably Rate, TSS Maintenance Support, TSSC operations, TSS Technical Support, System Relocations, TSS Site Activation and Deployment activities, Visual Database (VDB) and model development and modifications, and software enhancements.
Daniel Verret, CEO of Adacel, commented on the company’s enduring relationship with the USAF, stating, “Our 22-year partnership with the USAF has been a cornerstone of Adacel’s success. Looking ahead, our commitment to delivering premier, tailor-made ATC training solutions to the USAF remains firm. Our involvement in the world’s largest military TSS program is a testament to Adacel’s core value of empowering our customers and teams to reach their utmost potential. We are fully committed to the continuous improvement, support, and careful maintenance of these systems for years to come.”
Edgar A. Wright, Executive Director, Headquarters Air Force Flight, Standards Agency, adds, “The US Air Force is pleased to affirm its renewed partnership with Adacel. Continuing this partnership enhances our training capabilities and reinforces our dedication to providing the USAF controllers with the best possible resources. The proven track record of the MaxSim tower simulator, combined with Adacel’s consistent innovative enhancements and exceptional customer support offers an unparalleled training advantage that we are proud to bring the USAF air traffic controller community.”
There are no material conditions that need to be satisfied before the contract becomes legally binding.
