The JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) signs training framework agreement with the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) providing specialised training aimed at enhancing the competencies of ACAA personnel. The collaboration includes support for ACAA in preparing for the ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) as well as ICAO Annex 9 Facilitation training.
The JAA Training Organisation (JAA TO) is pleased to announce the signing of a one-year framework agreement with the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA), marking a significant collaboration in the field of civil regulatory aviation training. This agreement underscores JAA TO's commitment to delivering excellence and quality in aviation education across Europe and highlights Albania's aspirations to emerge as an innovative leader in the region's aviation sector. The formalisation of the agreement (signed in Spring 2024) is commemorated at the occasion of the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) 14th Air Navigation Conference (AN-CONF/14) in Montréal, Canada, where JAA TO’s Director of Sales, Marketing & Operations, Murat Yalçin meets Albanian’s Director General/Executive Director Maksim Et’hemaj.
Under this agreement, JAA TO has started to provide specialised training aimed at enhancing the competencies of ACAA's personnel. Training offers and key elements in the enablement include Artificial Intelligence (AI) in aviation training, data analytics, and data visualisation for the Authority’s data management and processes. The partnership is designed to align with Albania's strategic goals of modernising its civil aviation capabilities and preparing its workforce for the future challenges and opportunities in the aviation industry.
"We are excited to support the Albanian Civil Aviation Authority in their journey towards excellence in aviation regulation and oversight," says Paula V. de Almeida, CEO of JAA TO. "This framework agreement is a testament to the quality and expertise that JAA TO brings to the European aviation community using innovative and technology-based learning activity. We look forward to empowering the ACAA with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the evolving demands of the aviation sector."
One further aspect of this collaboration is the comprehensive support JAA TO has already provided to the ACAA in preparing for the ICAO Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM). The training sessions and advisory services ensured that the ACAA meets the highest international standards in aviation safety oversight and regulatory compliance.
"The Albanian Civil Aviation Authority is committed to becoming an aspirant authority by embracing innovation and modernising our approach to aviation regulation," says Maksim Et’hemaj , Executive Director at ACAA. "Our partnership with well-recognised training organisations will play a crucial role in developing our capabilities, personnel enablement and JAA Training Organisation – Pioneers in Aviation Regulatory Training 2 growth, as well as fast-track the positive change towards a more sustainable authority management and operations.”
This agreement represents a strategic step forward for both organisations. For JAA TO, it reinforces its role as a premier provider of aviation training and knowledge solutions in Europe and beyond globally. For the ACAA, the access to high-quality training and knowledge solutions is an opportunity to build a properly skilled workforce. Recently facilitated training offers include the ICAO Annex 9 – Facilitation and Transport of Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRMs) courses which yielded positive learning outcomes and feedback.
